What does a wedding website cost at each step?
Prices are in euro unless stated, as published on each vendor's own page on 12 October 2026. They can change.
| Option | Price | What it covers | Check before you pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free sites (Hitched.ie, Bridebook Ireland, weddings.ie) | €0 | A site you build yourself, with RSVP | Guest limits, how long it stays online, your own web address |
| Venue platform (Moposa) | €0 to you, the venue pays | Website, RSVPs and a table plan | Only at venues that use it |
| Self-serve templates (WedSites, SoInvited, Appy Couple, Hey Wedding Day) | €39 to €239 once, or €12 to €19 a month | A template you fill in; RSVP and table plan on the higher plans | Hosting length, monthly bills, which plan adds RSVP |
| Done-for-you (Anchor Web Digital, Evite You, Crafted Wedding Sites, Invite.ie, WeddingWebsites.ie) | €45 to €745 | Someone builds it from your details | Hosting and domain after year one, VAT, rounds of changes |

Most of the pages we read do not say whether VAT is included. Only Copulous Media, which sells animated video invitations, shows both figures (€59.99 before VAT, €73.79 with VAT). Tying The Knot's price includes VAT. Ask any vendor whether the price you see is the price you pay.
Are wedding websites free in Ireland?
Yes. Hitched.ie, Bridebook Ireland and weddings.ie each say a wedding website costs couples nothing. weddings.ie adds that it has no subscriptions or hidden fees for couples, and the only paid tiers it mentions are for venues and suppliers. All three let guests RSVP. Hitched.ie adds menu choices, Bridebook Ireland adds a gift list with cash funds, and Hitched.ie and weddings.ie both have a free table plan tool.
Some venues go further. At venues that use Moposa, the venue pays and couples get a website, RSVPs with meal, dietary and song requests, and a drag-and-drop table plan. You cannot sign up yourself, so ask your venue before you buy anything.
What you give up is mostly time and individuality. You build and write every page inside the builder's layouts. Before you start, ask four things:
- Is there a guest limit?
- How long does the site stay online after the wedding?
- Can you use a web address of your own, and what does it cost?
- Who can see your guests' details?
Free can also stop at the publish button. Hey Wedding Day is free to build and to send invitations, but publishing the site and collecting RSVPs needs Premium at €19 a month.
What do wedding website templates cost?
Self-serve builders give you a template to fill in. Four we checked:
- WedSites: €39 for 6 months online (no RSVP), €99 for 12 months (guest list and RSVP), €199 for 24 months (adds a table plan builder). One payment. After the included months, extra hosting starts at $5 a month when paid yearly, in US dollars.
- SoInvited: €99 for a website only, €199 adds a guest list, RSVP with custom questions, a table planner and save the dates, and €239 adds guest photo uploads by QR code. One payment, and the site stays live until a year after the wedding.
- Appy Couple: €100 a year or €12 a month. A domain of your own costs extra.
- Hey Wedding Day: €19 a month to publish.
Monthly plans add up over a long engagement. In Weddings Online's December 2025 survey, 38% of couples were engaged for more than two years. Two years at €12 a month is €288. At the yearly price it is €200.
What do done-for-you wedding websites cost in Ireland?
Here someone else builds the site from the details you send. These vendors publish euro prices on .ie websites:
- Anchor Web Digital: €100 for a one-page site, €200 for a full site. The first year of domain and hosting is included, then €20 a year. On the full site, changes are made for you until the wedding.
- Evite You (Dublin): €45, €75 or €120 for digital invitations with a website, shared by WhatsApp, SMS or email. A video animation is a €12 add-on, and evening invitations are €12, or €35 personalised.
- Crafted Wedding Sites: €245 for an information site, €395 adds RSVP and guest tracking, and €745 adds digital invites, a couple portal and planning tools.
- Invite.ie: €390 for a website that matches your invitations.
- WeddingWebsites.ie: €349 for one page, or €499 with RSVP and guest management, plus required hosting of €39, €59 or €79 for 4, 7 or 12 months. That is €388 to €578 in all, and it includes 50 printed QR photo cards.
The step that brings in RSVP and guest tools costs €60 to €150 more at the four vendors where we could see it: WedSites, SoInvited, Crafted Wedding Sites and WeddingWebsites.ie.
What does a bespoke wedding website cost?
Avelã White is a design studio in Lisbon. It publishes three prices in euro:
- Light, €950: up to four pages from a template, a year of hosting, a custom domain and one round of revisions.
- Core, €1,500: a nine-page site, a year of hosting, a custom domain, a couple monogram, two rounds of revisions and a month of support after launch.
- Bespoke, from €3,000: a design concept, design and development, up to three rounds of revisions and a month of support after launch.
Its pages do not say whether VAT is included, or what hosting costs after the first year.
If all you want is a film, the only stand-alone price we found on an Irish site was Copulous Media's: €59.99 before VAT, €73.79 with VAT, for an animated video invitation of up to 20 seconds with two revisions.
What makes one wedding website cost more than another?
Five things move the price.
- Who builds it. You fill in a template, someone builds it from your details, or a studio designs it.
- What it does. An information page is cheapest. RSVP and guest tracking are the first step up. A table plan or couple dashboard comes higher.
- How long it stays online. From 4 months at the shortest WeddingWebsites.ie plan to 24 months on WedSites Pro. Ask when the clock starts.
- Your own web address. Included at some vendors and extra at others.
- Film and print. A film, printed QR cards or matching stationery are usually priced on top.
What are the hidden costs of a wedding website?
- Hosting after the included months. Anchor Web Digital charges €20 a year after the first year. WedSites charges from $5 a month when paid yearly. Appy Couple and Hey Wedding Day are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly.
- A domain of your own. A .ie name usually has a low first-year price and a higher renewal. Webworld lists €2.95 then €26.95, OVHcloud €14.99 then €22.89, and Gandi €22.40 then €50.00, all before VAT. The .ie registry needs one document showing your link to Ireland, such as an Irish passport.
- Extras, priced one by one. At Evite You a save the date is €30, a thank-you card is €45 and an evening invitation is €12 or €35.
- VAT, wherever a price does not say.
- Printed invitations and postage, which come next.
How much do wedding invitations cost in Ireland?
The average couple in Weddings Online's December 2025 survey (1,014 respondents) spent €327 on invitations in total. The survey does not say whether postage is in that figure. The same survey puts the average wedding at €36,641 without the honeymoon, with 141 guests.
Printed prices vary widely:
- Copyprint.ie in Dublin lists 50 wedding invitations at €75 and 100 at €120 (indicative prices).
- Evite You prints cards at €1.25 each with a white envelope, or €2.45 for a premium card.
- Avelã White lists semi-custom stationery from €650 and custom stationery from €1,500.
Then there is postage. An Post stamps have cost €1.85 within Ireland, €3.50 to Europe including Britain and €3.95 to the rest of the world since 3 February 2026. A standard letter can be no bigger than 162 mm by 235 mm, 5 mm thick and 100 g. Anything larger or heavier may be charged as a large envelope, which is €3.50 within Ireland.
Posting 80 invitations in Ireland and 20 to Britain or Europe costs €148 plus €70, which is €218 in stamps (our arithmetic), before any reply envelopes. An invitation shared by link has no postage. For timing, see when to send wedding invitations in Ireland.
How do you decide what to spend?
- Write down what the site must do: share the date and venue, collect RSVPs, track the guest list, plan the tables, show the way to the venue.
- Try a free site first if that list is short.
- Add up the whole cost for your engagement: the build, hosting until after the wedding, a web address of your own and any extras.
- Ask every vendor five questions. Is VAT included? When does hosting start, and how long does it last? How many rounds of changes do you get? Is there a guest limit? Who owns the web address?
- Pay for what your guests will actually use, such as a film, a design made for you, or travel information for guests flying in.
Once you have chosen, what to put on a wedding website helps you fill it. For a side-by-side look, see our comparison of wedding websites in Ireland.
Where Tying The Knot fits in the ladder
Tying The Knot costs €750 including VAT. It is one price, with no tiers and no guest-count bands. The 12 months online run from the day your site goes live, so if you go live early for a long engagement, a further 12 months is €150. The price covers a short silent film that opens the invitation (AI-assisted, and checked by a person frame by frame before you see it), the invitation site, a guest travel planner, RSVP with a song request for each guest, a calendar file, two rounds of changes, a web address (a Tying The Knot address, or a domain you already own) and your private dashboard with the guest list, the dietary and allergy list, the song list and the table plan.
In the table above, that sits just over the top done-for-you price we found (Crafted Wedding Sites Premium, €745) and below the studio prices. Optional add-ons, VAT included: rush delivery €250, an extra event page €120, a second language €300, guest photos €300 (guests add their photos of the day through your site, and they gather in your dashboard), an extra round of changes €100, and extended hosting at €150 for each further 12 months.
If a free site does what you need, use one. To see what the price buys, open the live examples, read how it works or see the pricing page.
