Everything couples ask

How does Tying The Knot work?

You pay, create an account and answer guided questions by typing or by voice note. You upload your photos. We build your invitation website and film, you review a preview, and you ask for any changes.

Do we have to choose one of the examples?

No. The examples show what is possible; they are not templates to fill in. Your invitation is designed for the two of you from your answers: your venue, your colours, your style and your idea. Borrow from one example, combine several, or ask for something none of them do.

Is the film made with AI?

Yes. We use AI tools to create the film and images, guided by your answers, and we check every film before you see it. We label it as AI-assisted so nobody is in any doubt.

What if I want something changed?

You get two rounds of changes once you have seen your preview. If you want more, an extra round is a small add-on.

Do my guests need an app or an account?

No. Guests open a link on their phone, read the details and reply. Nothing to download and nothing to sign up for.

How long does the site stay online?

Hosting is included for a year. If you would like it online for longer, extended hosting is an add-on.

How much does a Tying The Knot invitation cost?

€750, including VAT, for everything: the film, the invitation site, RSVPs, the travel planner, your dashboard and table plan, two rounds of changes and a year online. Add-ons such as a second language are optional and priced separately.

Where do our guests’ replies go?

Straight to your private dashboard, the moment each household sends theirs. It keeps one guest list with every reply, meal, dietary need and song request, shows who has still to answer, and lets you send them a reminder.

Is the table plan included?

Yes, at no extra cost. Choose round, long, top or sweetheart tables and how many seats each has, lay out the room, drag guests’ names onto tables or seat everyone by household, then download the plan as a picture and a CSV file for your hotel or venue.

What happens after the year?

Your site stays online for a year from when it goes live. If you would like to keep it up for longer, for photos after the day or an anniversary, extended hosting adds another 12 months for €150.

What happens to my guests’ details?

We collect only what the RSVP needs. We keep it only as long as it is needed, and our privacy notice says exactly how long and who looks after it.

Is it only for weddings in Ireland?

No. The travel planner shows guests the airports and drive times to your venue wherever it is, whether that is a country house in Kerry or a villa in Crete.

Why is it called Tying The Knot?

Because that is what you are doing. Many couples also tie their hands together with a ribbon at the ceremony, a custom called handfasting. Our part is the modern one: one link that tells your guests and gives them everything they need.
