A bespoke wedding website, made for your venue and your story
What a bespoke wedding website is in Ireland, how it differs from templates and free sites, what it costs, and what Tying The Knot makes for €750 including VAT.
A bespoke wedding website is built around your venue, schedule and story, not filled into a template. In Ireland the options run from free directory sites you build yourself to designer-led builds, which one Lisbon studio prices from €3,000. Tying The Knot sits between: a site made for you from your answers, with a silent opening film, RSVP and a guest dashboard, for €750 including VAT.
This page sets out what bespoke should mean, what each kind of site costs (every price here was checked on 12 October 2026) and what Tying The Knot includes.
What does bespoke mean for a wedding website?
Sellers use bespoke, custom and personalised loosely. A template gives every couple the same layout, with your names and photos dropped in: that is personalised. A bespoke site is made for one couple.
Here is a test you can put to any seller, including us:
- Is it made from your details? Your venue, your timings, your photos and your story, not blanks to fill in.
- Is the first thing your guests see yours? Before anyone reads a word, they should be looking at something made for your day.
- Does it answer the questions guests really ask? How do I get there, what time does it start, what should I wear, how do I reply?
- Does a person check it before your guests see it? You should get a preview and be able to ask for changes.
At the top of the market, bespoke means a designer-led process. Avelã White, a studio in Lisbon, lists bespoke wedding websites from €3,000 (its services page, checked 12 October 2026). Each project starts with a conversation and a proposal. The page lists a design concept, a designed and built site, three rounds of revisions and a month of support after launch.
Custom, template or free: what does each cost in Ireland?
There are five routes in Ireland. Most of these sellers do not say whether their prices include VAT, so treat the comparison with Tying The Knot as approximate.
| Kind of site | Who builds it | Price (checked 12 October 2026) | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free directory site | You, from a template | Free | Hitched.ie, Bridebook Ireland, weddings.ie, Weddings Online |
| Paid template | You, with more tools | €39 to €239, one payment | WedSites, SoInvited |
| Done-for-you site | The seller, from your details | €45 to €745, with hosting extra at some | Evite You, WeddingWebsites.ie, Crafted Wedding Sites, Invite.ie |
| Tying The Knot | Tying The Knot, from your answers | €750 including VAT, a year online | The twelve examples |
| Designer-led bespoke | A designer, in meetings | From €3,000 | Avelã White |
The free directory sites do a lot. Hitched.ie, Bridebook Ireland, weddings.ie and Weddings Online each say their wedding website is free for couples, and several include RSVP, meal choices and dietary questions. If your venue uses Moposa, the venue pays for it, and you get a website, RSVPs and a table plan at no cost to you. Couples cannot sign up to Moposa directly. If a page and a reply form is all you need, use one of these. You do not need us.
What you put in is time. You choose the template, write the words and set up every question. Done-for-you sellers take that over, and designer studios go further. The full list, with what each one includes, is in Best wedding websites in Ireland (2026).
What does bespoke mean at Tying The Knot?
Tying The Knot makes one invitation website for one couple, from the answers you give and the photos you upload. This is what is made for you:
- Your details. Names, date, venue, the day's schedule with times, dress code, a few words from you, where guests can stay and the questions they keep asking.
- A film for your venue. A short silent film opens the invitation. It is made with AI tools for your venue, colours and style, and a person checks it frame by frame before you see it. How the film is made.
- A travel planner for your venue. The airports near it, the drive from each and a map of the way in. How the planner works.
- Replies in one place. Each household replies once, and you see every reply in your own dashboard. How the RSVP works.
The film is AI-assisted, and we say so plainly.
Here is what Tying The Knot is not. It is not a designer-led studio, where a designer drafts your pages with you in meetings. At Tying The Knot you answer guided questions, you see a preview, and you ask for changes in two rounds. If you want to direct every decision, a studio is the better fit, and you should budget from €3,000.
What do the twelve examples show?
The twelve examples are live invitations. Their films and pictures were made with AI tools. Each is a different way of reading an invitation:
- Laura & Conor, Co. Westmeath: a printed suite, laid out card by card.
- Rachel & Mark, Co. Kildare: an order of service, with a silk ribbon down the margin.
- Ellen & Pádraig, Killarney, Co. Kerry: a painted map.
- Aisling & Cormac, Connemara, Co. Galway: a watercolour letter that writes itself.
- Fionn & Grace, Castletownshend, Co. Cork: a sea chart with a little yacht that sails as you scroll.
- Darragh & Luke, Gorey, Co. Wexford: an evening sky, from sunset to stars.
- Róisín & Hazel, Glenealy, Co. Wicklow: a wildflower garden.
- Emer & Kofi, Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare: a conversation.
- Chloe & Seán, Galway city: stories, tapped through like a phone's.
- Niamh & Oisín, Lake Como, Italy: a postcard, for a wedding abroad.
- Aoife & Cian, Dublin 2: a Georgian town house.
- Elena & Theo, Rethymno, Crete: a weekend told in chapters, for a wedding abroad.
Open any of them on your phone from the examples page.
What is included for €750?
One price, €750 including VAT, covers all of this. There are no tiers and no guest-count bands.
- The film. A short silent film that opens your invitation.
- The invitation site. Names, date, venue, the day's schedule with times, dress code, a few words from you, accommodation and FAQs.
- The guest travel planner. The airports near your venue, the drive from each and a map of the way in.
- RSVP. Each household replies in one go, person by person: attending or not, meal, dietary and allergy needs. Every guest can request a song for the dance floor.
- A calendar file. One tap adds the day to a guest's phone.
- Your dashboard. Private to the two of you. Every reply the moment it is sent, your guest list by household, who has and has not replied, reminders to chase, the dietary and allergy list with each guest's table, and the song list for your DJ or band.
- The table plan. Choose table types (round, long, top table, sweetheart), seats per table and the room layout. Drag guests' names onto tables, or tap a guest and then a table. Download the plan as a picture (PNG) and as a CSV spreadsheet to send to your hotel or venue. More on the table plan.
- Two rounds of changes after you see your preview.
- A web address. A Tying The Knot address, or connect a domain you already own.
- A year online. Twelve months' hosting from the day your site goes live.
Extras are optional and priced separately, VAT included: rush delivery €250, an extra event page €120 (for a rehearsal dinner or a day-after brunch), a second language €300, guest photos €300 (guests add their photos of the day through your site, and they gather in your dashboard), an extra round of changes €100, and extended hosting €150 for each further 12 months. The pricing page has the current figures.
How does it work?
- Pay and create an account.
- Answer guided questions, by typing or by voice note.
- Upload your photos.
- Review your preview. Tying The Knot builds your site and film, and you see them before anyone else does.
- Make changes, then share. Two rounds of changes are included. Then you share one link with every guest.
Guests need no app and no account. They open the link on their phone, watch the film, read the details and reply. The how it works page has the detail.
It helps to have these ready:
- both names, as you want guests to see them, and your date
- where the ceremony and reception are, and the times, including any evening event
- your ceremony in your own words: civil, Catholic, another faith, humanist or celebrant-led
- a few lines on your story, and your dress code
- photos of the two of you and of places that matter to you
- where your guests are travelling from, and a rough guest count
- the colours or mood you like
- one kind line about gifts, if you want to mention them, such as a cash gift or a contribution to your honeymoon fund
Who is a Tying The Knot site for, and who should use a free one?
Irish weddings come in every shape. In 2025, 33.4% of marriages were civil, 29.8% Catholic and 6.9% humanist, and the average age at marriage was 36.1 for brides and 38.0 for grooms in opposite-sex marriages, remarriages included (Central Statistics Office, Marriages 2025, checked 12 October 2026). A good wedding website does not assume a church, or assume there is none, and it works for a first wedding or a second, with children or without.
Size matters too. In Weddings Online's December 2025 survey of 1,014 couples (one directory's users, so a guide only), the average wedding had 141 guests. A site for a crowd that size has to work for grandparents, cousins and everyone travelling, as well as for the two of you.
Tying The Knot suits you if:
- many of your guests are travelling, to a rural venue or to a wedding abroad
- you want guests to open a film, not a template
- you want replies, dietary needs, songs and the table plan in one place
- you would rather hand over the building than do it yourself
Use a free site if all you need is a page and a reply form. That is a fair answer for many weddings. Tying The Knot is fully digital and makes no printed invitations: the site is the invitation, sent to every guest as one link.
What should you ask before you pay anyone?
Whoever you choose, ask what the first price leaves out:
- VAT. Is it included? Most sellers we looked at do not say. Tying The Knot's €750 includes it.
- Hosting. How long does the site stay online, and what does more cost? WeddingWebsites.ie requires hosting of €39 to €79 on top of its site prices. SoInvited keeps sites live until a year after the wedding. WedSites includes 6, 12 or 24 months, depending on the plan. With Tying The Knot it is a year from the day you go live, then €150 for each further 12 months.
- RSVP. Is it included? Hey Wedding Day is free to build but charges €19 a month to publish and collect RSVPs. At SoInvited, RSVPs start with the €199 plan.
- Changes. Who makes them, and how many rounds? Tying The Knot includes two.
When you are ready, look at the examples or get started. Prices change, so the pricing page has the current Tying The Knot figures.

Questions people ask
What is a bespoke wedding website?
A bespoke wedding website is made for one couple, around their venue, schedule and story, instead of being a template with names typed in. Sellers use the word loosely, so ask who builds it and from what. At the top of the market a designer drafts your pages in meetings. At Tying The Knot the site is built from your answers and photos, with a preview and two rounds of changes.
How much does a bespoke wedding website cost in Ireland?
It depends on who builds it. On 12 October 2026, Hitched.ie, Bridebook Ireland, weddings.ie and Weddings Online each offered a free site, paid templates cost €39 to €239 once, and done-for-you sites listed from €45 to €745. Avelã White, a Lisbon studio, listed bespoke builds from €3,000. Tying The Knot costs €750 including VAT. Most sellers do not say whether their prices include VAT.
Is a free wedding website good enough?
For many couples, yes. The free directory sites list RSVP, and several add meal choices, dietary questions and a table planner. You build the site yourself, so it takes time and looks like a template. Tying The Knot suits couples who want a film, a travel planner for guests who are flying in, and replies, dietary needs and the table plan in one dashboard, made for them.
Is a Tying The Knot site really bespoke?
It is made for you, but it is not a designer-led build. Tying The Knot makes your film and site from your answers and photos: your venue, schedule, story, colours and travel routes. You see a preview and get two rounds of changes. Nobody drafts your pages with you in meetings. If you want that, a studio such as Avelã White lists bespoke builds from €3,000.
What is included in the €750 price?
The silent opening film, the invitation site, a guest travel planner, RSVP with a song request from each guest, a calendar file, two rounds of changes, a web address, your private dashboard (replies, guest list, dietary and allergy list, song list) and the table plan, with a year online. Extras such as rush delivery (€250) or guest photos (€300) are optional and priced separately.
Is the Tying The Knot film made with AI?
Yes. The film is AI-assisted: AI tools make it for your venue, colours and style, and a person checks it frame by frame before you see it. The films and pictures in the twelve examples were made with AI tools too. Your names and details are ordinary text on the page, not part of the film.
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. Guests open one link on their phone, watch the film, read the details and reply. There is nothing to download and nothing to sign up for. You can send the link by WhatsApp, text or email.
